SomatoShift

SomatoShift is a wearable force feedback device that utilizes two Control Moment Gyroscopes to generate torque in one axis. It senses human motion and can accelerate or decelerate movement to create sensations where one's own arm feels lighter or heavier when moving one's body. By altering the body image and body schema from the adapted state to a different state, it is expected to provide a satisfying body image when using avatars in VR and find applications in controlling robots with differing body schematics from the user.
