Sensei Possession

Sensei Possession is a method used to replicate full-body movement skill training that a teacher previously conducted in-person with a student. In this technique, the teacher 'possesses' or 'inhabits' a third party (known as the surrogate) who is physically present in the same environment as the student. By remotely controlling the surrogate's movements, the teacher can provide a sense of presence and tactile feedback that mimics the experience of being trained by a live human in a face-to-face setting. An experiment applying Sensei Possession to Aikido training showed improved efficiency in skill acquisition compared to training solely through video calls without using Sensei Possession.
